In order to avoid misuse or malpractices, Limits have been set for update of Demographic information in Aadhaar. For example, name can be updated twice. Aadhaar number holder can carry out 3rd time name update through exception handling.

It looks like you have updated your name multiple times and is now updated through the exception handling process.

As per Aadhaar Citizen Charter, it normally takes around 90 days to update the name on the Aadhaar through exception handling process.

You can refer page 16 in the Aadhar Citizen Charter for this.
