Here is the step by step procedure to get your family tree certificate in Bangalore
Step 1: Prepare the draft in word format. Below sample draft for your reference.
Step 2: Print the draft on the non-judicial e-stamp paper. Stamp value Rs. 100/-. (E-stamp paper available at the co-operative bank, court, register office near you)
Step 3: Meet the notary public near you (Usually notary available at your local court, register office)
Carry the following documents to notary public
- Death certificate of deceased
- Relationship proof (Your Aadhar or passport).
Step 4: Notary public reads the certificate to deponent (to you). Notary verify relationship proof.
Step 5: Deponent should sign a certificate in front of a notary. Notary public sign and attest the certificate. Certificate looks like below image.

If you are from Karnataka, follow the below steps to get a family tree certificate online.

Go to Nadakacheri home page.

Click on “Online Application”.

Click on "Apply Online".

Enter the mobile number.

Click on "Get OTP".

Click on ‘New Request’.
-
Select ‘Attestation of Family Tree’.

Choose the language of the certificate -English or Kannada.

Enter user details.
-
Select the Mode of Delivery, as Nadakacheri or Registered Post.

Upload the required documents for the family member certificate.

Click on ‘Save’.

Click on ‘Online Payment’.

Select the Card payment and Card type.

Click on ‘Make Payment’.
-
After successful payment, ACK no. will appear in concerned Nadakacheri’s for further process of application. The final certificate will be obtained from the concerned Nadakacheri center.
