If your marriage is as per the Hindu Marriage Act, visit the registrar office with the following documents to get a Marriage Certificate in Kerala.
- 2 copies of Marriage Report
- Proof of Identity and Age
- Proof of marriage
- If it is not the first marriage of the spouse, then death certificate/divorce details of the previous spouse
- Application form in court stamp fee of INR 5 to local and district Registrar for forgiving the delay in marriage registration
For the Common Marriage Act, visit the registrar office with the following documents to get a Marriage Certificate in Kerala.
- Application form
- Application for filing Memorandum of Marriage (Form II)
- Memorandum for Registration of Marriage in Duplicate (Form No. 1)
- Passport Size Photos
- Age Proof Documents - Any of Birth Certificate, SSSLC, Passport, Driving License, Aadhaar Card, Voter ID card
- Proof of Marriage - Certificate from Religious Institutions or Certificate from Statutory Officer, MP, MLA, Gazetted Officer, Panchayat Member, Municipal Councillor in Form No. II. (Check Page 4 of the document)
- Fees to be paid:
- Registration Fees - INR 100.
- Fine : 250
- Certificate fees - INR 20 (For extra certificate - INR 25)
- A penalty of INR 100 if the marriage certificate is applied after 45 days of marriage.
