Procedure involved to get this service The owner, occupier who desires to drill the new bore well should submit the application to BWSSB duly enclosing the necessary documents along with applicable charges.After verification, the application will be forwarded to Senior Geologist for inspection. The inspection report is placed before the Karnataka Ground Water Authority Sub-Committee(BBMP Limits) for approval.As per the decision of the Committee Member Secretary will issue permission/refusal letter for drilling new bore well.
Who are eligible to get this service Any person or group of persons or an institution including a company or an establishment.

1 . Sanction plan/building plan

2 . Upto date tax paid receipt

3 . Khatha certificate or khatha extract

4 . Sale deed

5 . Copy of water bill/electrical bill(if available)
Fee/Charges to be paid to get the service Drinking water purpose Rs.50/- and for Industrial, Commercial or Entertainment Rs.500/-
Maximum number of days to wait to get this service delivered 60 Working Days
Whom to approach as a appeal (Competent Officer), if the service is not delivered in time or rejected by officer Chief Engineer BWSSB, DD Ground Water
Maximum number of days to wait to get the decision of the Competent Officer 15 Working Days

Senior geologist, Karnataka ground water authority will inspect the premises and submit the inspection report to member secretary for placing the same before the Karnataka ground water authority sub-committee(BBMPlimits) for approval. The subjects will be placed before fortnightly/monthly meetings of the sub-committee. In the meeting the inspection report will be reviewed and decision will be taken regarding grant or refusal of drilling permission.
