Population Certificate is a document required for Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) application. You have to visit the offices of the Directorate of Census Operations or Directorate of Economics and Statistics to get Population Certificate.

You have to visit these government departments to submit application for Population Certificate. Take a photocopy of the letter along with you while submitting the application. Also, get an official acknowledgment of receipt in your letter’s photocopy from these department's office and retain this document for future reference while following up on this matter.
