Name of the Department: Agricultural Marketing Department.

Name of the Service: Permission for establishment of private market.

Whom to approach for this service (Designated Officer)?: Deputy Director (Grading) Agricultural Marketing Department.

Procedure involved to get this service:  An Application to be submitted in Form -46and of the Karnataka Agricultural Produce Market (Regulation and Development) Rules 1968.

Who are eligible to get this service: Any person who has already established the infrastructure or desiring to establish a private market yard.

Documents to be enclosed with the request:

1 . Copies of company registration, memorandum of association and articles of association to be enclosed.

2 . Copy of details of investment to be enclosed.

3 . Income tax returns to be enclosed.

4 . Original deed of the land purchased / lease agreement deed and rtc copies to be enclosed.

5 . Layout plan of the proposed place to be enclosed.

6 . Copy of the operational and working guidelines about the proposed business place to be enclosed.

7 . Application to be submitted in form no.46 of karnataka agricultural produce market (development and regulation) rules 1968

8 . Karnataka agricultural produce market (development and regulation) rules 1968 as per rule 87b 3, license fee to be submitted as under license fee

  1. bangalore city – Rs.15,000 per annum. 
  2. district headquarters - Rs.5,000/- per annum.
  3. other places – Rs.2,000 per annum.

Fee/Charges to be paid to get the service: As per Rule 87B 3, license fee to be submitted as under License fee

  1. Bangalore city – Rs.15,000 per annum.
  2. District headquarters - Rs.5,000/- per annum.
  3. Other places – Rs.2,000 per annum.

Maximum number of days to wait to get this service delivered: 60 Working Days.

Whom to approach as an appeal (Competent Officer), if the service is not delivered in time or rejected by an officer: Additional Director (Planning) Agricultural Marketing Department.

Maximum number of days to wait to get the decision of the Competent Officer: 30 Working Days.

Whom to approach as 2nd appeal (Appellate Authority), if the decision of the Competent officer is not acceptable or not implemented?: Director, Agricultural Marketing Department.
