How to get the various financial assistance announced by government for Pravasis due to Covid -19?

Follow the below steps to apply online for Financial Assistance for Pravasis (NRKs).

• Visit this link
• Click on the required application.

• Enter the required details such as Applicant's Name, Address, Mobile Number, Passport number, Date of Birth etc.

• Upload a copy of Passport's 1st page, Visa Page, Address page of the passport,  Arrival Page of passport mentioning the date of arrival after January 1, 2020, Bank Passbook and Photo of the Applicant.

• Submit the application.

The online application for various financial assistance schemes announced for Pravasis in the context of COVID 19 will be available from 18-04-2020. Applications must be made through the Norka Roots website.

The following are the financial assistance announced by the Government of Kerala for Pravasis.

• Pensioners of Kerala Pravasi Welfare Fund will get one-time assistance of Rs. 1000.
• COVID Positive members of the Pravasi Welfare Fund will get immediate assistance of Rs 10,000.
• Since COVID 19 is included in the Swanthwana scheme, those returning from overseas who have been diagnosed with the COVID 19 will receive Rs 10,000, as per the terms of the Swanthwana Scheme.
• Those who returned to Kerala on or after January 1, 2020, and are unable to return to work due to lockdown and who has a valid passport and visa will be eligible for financial assistance of up to Rs 5,000. Financial assistance will also be provided to those whose visa got expired during the lockdown period. For this, upload the name, address, mobile number, Page 1,2 of passport, address pages, travel information page, Page in the passport which shows the arrival on or after January 1, 2020, invoice document, visa page/visa copy and applicant's bank information. The closing date for receipt of the application for grant of Rs 5000 is 30-04-2020.
