How to register fancy number at RTO ?

In Karnataka, an applicant can select fancy registration mark for a new vehicle or other state vehicle obtaining re-assignment of Karnataka Registration mark.
An application on plain paper has to be made before the Regional Transport Officer/Transport Commissioner for allotment of a Fancy Registration Number / Advance Registration Number. After the allotment letter is issued prescribed fee has to be paid and submitted before the concerned Regional Transport Officer.
The allotment is valid for 3 months only from the date of issue.
Fees (to be paid at R.T.O. Counter):

Visit Parivahan Website
- Select State Name, RTO.

You can see the numbers available for registration.
Here, you can see only the numbers available for registration. You have to contact the respective RTOs for registration.

In Karnataka, You can check the availability of fancy number from Transport Department Website.
Registration numbers are encoded in different colors based on their availability. Green Colour indicates number is available for SELECTION. Blue colour indicates number is already BOOKED. RED colour indicates Vehicle number is already REGISTERED.

Select RTO and Vehicle Type. Click on Submit.

You can see 3 options now.

Click on Option 1 for checking the availability of numbers from 1 to 1000 at RTO level in Current Series.

Click on Option 2 for checking the availability of number beyond 1000 at the commissioner level in the current series.

Click on Option 3 for checking the availability of numbers in the advanced series.

- Once you have clicked on the required option, you can see the numbers available for registration.
