There are 2 cases for you. You can either buy it or don't buy it. There is a cost associated with both of them.
Case 1: Buy it
If you are planning to buy a BMTC bus pass, then you might need to INR 300 - 400 as it has a pending period of 3 months. I have given the amount of INR 300-400 assuming that you might have paid INR 1000 for this academic year. BMTC bus pass has a validity of 11 months. So you might have to pay around INR 300(= (3/11)*1000).

Case 2: Don't Buy it
If the bus charge from your home to school/college for the next 3 months is less than the above amount, then don't buy it.
