Only someone with professional tax software can e-file a 2021 tax return at this point. You can hire a CPA or Enrolled Agent to e-file your 2021 return, or you can wait until next February and go to a free tax preparation program. The free tax programs can e-file the last two years if you qualify for help.
Free Tax Return Preparation for Qualifying Taxpayers
The locators usually get updated in late December or early January.
If you want to prepare your 2021 return, FreetaxUSA is one of the better options. You would need to mail the return though.
