Is the khatha transfer fee for more than 1cr property different from the usual 2% of stamp duty in Karnataka?
Answered on October 07,2022
Khata transfer fee is same irrespective of property value. Below is the detailed description of fee structure
----------
- Application Fee is Rs. 110/-
- Khata transfer fee is 2% of stamp duty of sale value.
For example, the Sale value of property is Rs. 1 Cr. At the time of sale deed registration. You should have paid 5% of stamp duty which is Rs. 1,00,00,000X5% = 5,00,000/-
Now the Khata transfer fee is Rs. 5,00,000X2% = 10,000/- (Please be noted, there could be slight variation in the fee).
Within 30 days from the day of khata transfer application submission. BBMP will send the fee details through SMS. You can pay the fee at your nearest Bangaloreone center.
