My friend entered into an agreement with a buyer to sell his property for 13 lakhs. The buyer has paid 1.3 lakhs and the registration is completed but the buyer did not honor the further payments. What are the next legal steps?

Till the buyer complete the formalities at the concerned revenue department for transfering the ownership to his name, the seller  is the custodian of the property. Inform the concerned revenue officer that the buyer has not paid full price  amount and hence transfer of ownership should be withheld. Now the responsibility of proving payment lies with buyer.
