There are some clauses in stamp duty and registration charges, like if the value of the property is under 45L stamp duty is 3% and if the co applicant is female then also stamp duty is 3%. where is this mentioned in Kaveri portal?






3% stamp duty is applicable when you buy a new property from builder or developer (1st purchaser) and consideration & guidance value must be less than Rs. 45 lakhs 

To avail of 3% stamp duty, select the sub-article “20 (2-A) (ii) - First Sale of Flat/Apartment” in Kaveri portal. Refer to the below image

 

3% stamp duty is not applicable for resale property. The stamp duty for resale property is 5% of consideration or guidance value, whichever is higher
