What are the re-registration charges of a car in Bangalore?
Answered on November 16,2019
For re-registration of vehicle in Bangalore, you need to pay Life Time Tax (LTT) or Road Tax. LTT is calculated based on the price of vehicle and also on the age of vehicle. Life time of vehicle is assumed to be 15 years, so older your vehicle, lesser LTT you need to pay.
You can check this link for calculating the road tax. A short video on how to use the calculator is provided below.
If LTT is less than INR 3000, you can pay it directly at the RTO office. Otherwise, a demand draft needs to be drawn in favour of the “Regional Transport Officer”.
In addition to it, additional fee needs to be paid for changing the address of your vehicle to new address and renewal of registration certificate (RC). However, these charges are nominal. NOC is free of charge.
