What is the interest rate of FD closure, deposited against prized chitty of the deceased account holder.

If the FD is closed at maturity, the rate of interest remains the same as agreed at the time of deposit. If closed prematurely , the interest rate decreases as per applicable rules. In case the account holder is deceased, the nominee is eligible to claim the deposit.
