Application will get saved when you click on "Submit" button after filling the Application Form. This "Submit" button is prior to uploading documents and making the payments. You can find draft applications under the Saved Application section and upload documents or make payment as required.

If it is not available under Saved applications, it would be a technical issue.

As you have already generated your CAN details, you can apply for it again.
