EWS certificate is Income and Asset Certificate. Income and Asset vary from year to year. Generally, the income of people goes up or down every year. Similarly, the asset of the person also varies over a period of time.
As the criteria to avail EWS certificate is income and asset, the EWS certificate has to be taken every year. The Officer who issues the EWS certificate will do an inquiry of your income and asset, by carefully verifying all relevant documents and following due process, before providing the EWS certificate.
