How to apply for Advertising Display Permit on Lands ?

This service enables you to obtain a permit to install advertising displays on private and government lands to promote a merchandise or event or display a logo or product.

The validity of the permit depends on the expiry date of the landlord NOC provided that it doesn't exceed 1 year.

Documents required to apply for Advertising Display Permit on Lands

Permit to advertise on fences/hoardings/unipole/ minipole/ megacom/ pylons /digital screens:

  1. Valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the landlord, stating the advertisement period.
  2. Medium Design at the Suggested Location with the Advertising Content Design.

Permit to advertise on lands under Dubai Development Authority (For Non-Free Zones):

  1. Approved construction plans and a certificate of completion from the Construction Activities Control Department / Construction Control Department./ of the Dubai Development Authority .
  2. Licensing a building fence under construction (in case of advertising on a construction fence.

Permit to advertise on poles/illuminated poles/ mupis/ flags/ banners/ benches/ product models/ shades:

  1. Valid NOC from the landlord, stating the advertisement period.
  2. Medium Design at the Suggested Location with the Advertising Content Design.

Permit to advertise on air balloons or air filled product models installed on the land:

  1. No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the landlord stating the advertisement period.
  2. NOC from the concerned authorities in the event that a balloon model is installed on the land.
  3. Medium Design at the Suggested Location with the Advertising Content Design.

How to apply for Advertising Display Permit on Lands?

  • Login to Unified Electronic Platform for outdoor advertisements: https://smartadv.dm.gov.ae/.
  • Apply for the service and upload the required documents through Unified Electronic Platform for outdoor advertisements.
  • Check Dubai Municipality's reply through the Unified Electronic Platform for outdoor advertisements (Approved/Rejected/To be Amended or Completed).
  • Pay the due fees.
  • Receive the permit through the Unified Electronic Platform for outdoor advertisements in case of approval.

Time required to get an Advertising Display Permit on Lands

  • 1 working day for flags, banners, shades, benches 
  • 5 working days for illuminated poles 
  • 4 working days for  mupis
  • 7 working days for fences, hoardings, unipoles, minipoles, megacoms and digital screens permits
  • 6 working days for pylons
  • 3 working days for Air balloons or air filled product models. 
  • 3 working days for product models.

Fees required to get an Advertising Display Permit on Lands

  • Fence or hoarding: AED 200 per sqm per year
  • Unipole/minipole/megacom: AED 250 per sqm per year (per face)
  • Pylons: AED 1,000 per year (per board)
  • Illuminated poles: AED 12,000 per year (per pole)
  • Poles: AED 6,000 per year (per pole)
  • Mupis: AED 5,000 per year (per panel)
  • Flags: AED 250 per year (per flag)
  • Benches, product models and shades: AED 1,000 per year (per bench, model or shade)
  • Air balloons or air filled product models: AED 1,000/Week
  • Digital Screens: AED 1,000 per sqm per year
  • All fees are subject to an addition of 10% in the trade centre and Al Wasl, except for advertisements on pylons, flags and models, Air balloons and air filled models.
  • Knowledge and Innovation Fees: AED 20.
