Aikyashree scholarship programme is an initiative by the Government of West Bengal. Aikyashree scholarship programme is provided under the West Bengal Minority Development and Finance Corporation and is intended to support deserving students to continue their higher studies.
Aikyashree scholarship programme is for the students belonging to minority communities like Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains in West Bengal.
Aikyashree - List of Scholarships
Through Aikyashree scholarship, West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation is providing five government scholarship schemes.

Eligibility Criteria of Aikyashree Scholarship programme in West Bengal
The eligibility criteria are different for different types of Aikyashree scholarships.
Pre-matric Scholarship and Post-matric Scholarship

Applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
-
Must be studying in a School/ Institution recognized by an educational Board/ Council/ University of the State/ Central Government.
-
Must have secured not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
-
The annual family income should not exceed Rs.2 lakh.
-
Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal will not be eligible for pre-matric or post-matric scholarships.
Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
-
The applicant must be a domicile of West Bengal.
-
Must have got admission to a technical/professional course.
-
Must have secured at least 50% marks in the last Higher Secondary/Graduation examination.
-
The students who are residents of West Bengal but pursuing studies in listed institutions located outside West Bengal, as may be notified from time to time by the West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation, are also eligible for applying.

The annual family income of the student should not be more than Rs.2.5 lakh.
Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship (SVMCM)

The student must be a domicile of West Bengal.

The student must be studying in Class 11 or 12.
Or
The student must be pursuing graduation in Engineering, Medical and Technical/Professional courses if they are not studying the general Undergraduate or Postgraduate level degree courses.

If the student is studying at the higher secondary level or pursuing a diploma, he or she must have secured at least 75% marks in class 10th.

If the student is studying at the undergraduate level, he or she must have secured at least 75% marks in class 12th.
-
The annual family income of the student should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh.

The scholarships will be sanctioned to deserving students on merit-cum-means criteria.

Students pursuing M.Phil. courses and Doctoral courses from state-aided institutions are also eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti Scholarship, West Bengal

This student should be female.
-
Candidates should have qualified Class 12th from any board.
-
The student must be aspiring to pursue education in the fields of Engineering, Medicine or Basic Science at a known institution in West Bengal.
Hindi Scholarship Scheme, West Bengal

West Bengal citizen
-
He or she should belong to a non-Hindi speaking state.

The student must have passed any one of the following degree courses – Madhyamik, higher secondary, graduation, PG or any equivalent degree course

The student must have secured at least 60% marks in the earlier qualifying exam, in the first trial, with Hindi as one of the subjects

How to apply for the Aikyashree Scholarship programme in West Bengal?

Select the district of your institute under “SELECT THE DISTRICT OF YOUR INSTITUTE ( Where Your Institution Is Located )”

Tap on “Ok” for the popup “Are you Sure, the district of your institution?”
Student Information

Enter “Name”, “District”, “Guardians Name”, “DOB”, “Mobile Number”, “Email ID” and all other required details in the “Student Information” field

Enter the give captcha under the “Type the text in the box below” field
-
Click on “Submit and Proceed”
Scheme Eligibility

Enter the required details under the “Scheme Eligibility” field

After verifying the details, click on the “Submit & Proceed” button
Registration Succesful
- Now a temporary User ID will be generated, and check your email for the password.
Student’s Login
-
Login with that “User ID” and “Password” on the “Student Log-In” page.

Enter the “Basic Information”, “Academic Information”, and “Bank Account Information”

Now you can change your password
-
After changing the “Password”, click on “Submit”
Final Submission

Enter the required details under “Basic Information”

Click on “Submit and Proceed”

Enter the required details under the “Academic Information” option

Click on “Submit and Proceed”

After submitting the academic details, fill up “Bank Account Information” and “Verify”

By clicking the Pre-View option you can verify all the details

Click on “Final Submit”
Verification and Print Out

After verifying all the details, you can take a printout copy of the application form
-
Submit the printout of the application form at the concerned institute along with the copy of the bank passbook.
How to Renew the application for the Aikyashree Scholarship programme West Bengal?
Follow the below steps to apply for the Aikyashree scholarships renewal.

Click on “Renew your Application”

Select the district of your institute under “SELECT THE DISTRICT OF YOUR INSTITUTE ( Where Your Institution Is Located )”

Tap on “Ok” for the popup “Are you Sure, the district of your institution?”

Log in by entering the “Application ID”, “Date of Birth”, “District” and “Captcha”

Click on the “Login” button

An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number, enter the OTP and click on “Submit”

Click on the “Renew Application” option from the options “Renew Application” and “Withdraw Application”

Enter the required details in the registration form
-
Click on “Submit” and “Next”

Enter “Academic details”
-
Click on “Submit” and “Next”

Check and verify the “Bank details”
-
A message that ‘I confirm that the bank account details are ok to the best of my knowledge & belief’ will be shown on the page, tick on the box near the message.

Click on “Submit” and “Next”

Upload the necessary documents with the form

Submit the application form by clicking“Submit” and “Next”

Check the application form before submitting

Click on Submit and Lock Renewal Application tab

A popup will be displayed asking if the details are correct. If they are, click on “OK”

Click on “Print Renewal Application” to get your application’s printout.
