How to apply for Aponar Apun Ghar scheme in Assam?
The Government of Assam has launched the Aponar Apun Ghar scheme to provide financial relief to the people of Assam and to ease the access to housing loans for the purchase or construction of the first house for the family.
Benefits
The Government of Assam shall provide a one-time financial support of up to INR 2,50,000/- to cover all permanent residents of Assam availing Housing Loans for construction/purchasing of houses in the State of Assam from Scheduled Commercial Banks, Regional Rural Banks and the Assam Cooperative Apex Bank, notified & recognized by Reserve Bank of India.
The subsidy that the applicant shall be eligible for under this scheme is linked to the amount of loan they have taken. The subsidy amount shall be as per the following slabs.

Above Rs.30.00 lacs up to Rs.40.00 lacs | Rs. 2.50 lacs |
Eligibility Criteria
Individual Housing Loans up to Rs. 40 lakhs sanctioned on or after 01/04/2019 shall be entitled to avail the benefit subject to following conditions:

The applicant must be Citizen of India and permanent resident of Assam.

The house being acquired must be located in the State of Assam.

The annual income of the Composite Family shall not exceed Rs. 20,00,000/- from all sources.“Composite Family” means family comprising of Husband, Wife and dependent unmarried sons and daughters. "Composite Family” means family comprising of Husband, Wife and dependent unmarried sons and daughters.

The members of the beneficiary’s composite family must not have a house acquired by them either in the form of inheritance of ancestral house or self-acquisition.

As the focus of the Government is also on giving an incremental push to economic growth, only fresh housing loans sanctioned by Banks in 2019-20 will be eligible for subsidy under this scheme. Housing loans availed before 2018-19, foreclosed and availed as fresh loans in 2019-20 are not eligible for subsidy under this scheme.

Further, only the loan accounts with housing loans sanctioned for equal to or more than Rs. 5 lakhs, will be eligible to claim subsidy under this scheme.

Follow the below steps to apply online for Aponar Apun Ghar scheme.

The applicant has to visit the Aponar Apun Ghar scheme website.

Click on the Loan Subsidy link and by filling the online application form along with uploading the necessary documents.

In the online form the applicant shall be required to provided information about her/his father’s name guardian’s name, contact information, Pan Card and details about loan & the IFSC code of the branch from which it is availed.

After successful submission of application, the application should take a print of the application form and keep it safely for future reference.
Check Status
The applicant can track the status of application using the registered mobile number and application number/loan account number. Follow the below steps to track the status of the application.

Click on "Track".

Enter your registered mobile number and application number/loan account number to track the status of the application.
Grievance Redressal
Branch Manager of the branch from where the loan has been sanctioned shall be Grievance Redressal Officer. An applicant has to formally submit a letter addressed to the Branch Manager.
