How to apply for a Painting and Maintenance permit in Dubai?

• Maintenance permits are valid for 6 months, renewable, from the date of their issuance until the start of the works.

 Simple maintenance:

• It is implemented through a contractor approved by Dubai Municipality directly without the need to obtain a permit from the municipality or a completion certificate, with no architectural or structural modifications that affect the integrity of the building or any of its facades.

Structural maintenance:

• A self-maintenance permit is obtained for works that aim to repair the structural defects of the building and not make any architectural or structural modifications that would affect the safety of the building. 

Specialized Maintenance:

• You must submit a Request to Permit Modifications or Additions for Buildings on the Dubai Building Permits System to obtain the permit through the consultant engineer approved by the municipality and implemented by a contractor approved by the municipality, and then the completion certificate is issued through the Construction Control Department. This is for works aimed at repairing the structural defects of the building, which pose a threat to its structural integrity.
