How to apply for a Personal nol Card in Dubai?
This service enables you to register your anonymous Silver or Gold nol card, or apply for a Personal nol card, which has the same features and advantages of registered Silver/Gold cards but comes with different categories (Senior Citizens, Adults, Students, Social Affairs and People of Determination).
Eligibility Criteria to apply for a Personal nol Card in Dubai
All individual customers above 5 years old are eligible to apply for this service.

The customer fills in the application form of the service on the website or the smart application (type of the card, category, personal information, Emirates ID information, contact information and address).

The card validity is 5 years.

Student card: 1 year renewable concession period. After the end of the year, the card charges the regular fare without the 50% discount, unless the customer applies again for a student nol card if he is still eligible.

Student Cards:

The concession period is valid for 1 year only and must be renewed once expired to keep benefitting from the concession, otherwise, the student card can be used for transport and non-transport services and charged as per the regular/standard travel fees.

The student card discount is valid only on the Bus, Tram and Metro if the concession is valid.

The student’s age must be between 5 and 23 years.

Senior card: The customer’s age must be 60 years and above.

The printed name on the personal nol card is the first and last name of the customer as stated on the Emirates ID.

Personal nol card categories with concession and discount (students, senior emiratis, social affairs and People of Determination) are only applicable to the regular/silver class only.

Personal nol cards with Gold class are available for the adults category only.

Personal nol card delivery is free of charge.

Personal or registered card holders receive a PIN code.

The customer must have the PIN code of the personal and registered card to be able to manage his card's file through the website or through the smart application.

In case of any delay in receiving the card, the customer can contact RTA Call Centre on 8009090. The customer can also follow up on the process through the website.

The customer should adhere to the size and type of the supporting documents: png or jpeg format /size less than 2 MB.

Only adults are eligible to apply in Zoom shops through nol express service.

Blocked nol cards cannot be re-activated.

nol card registration fees are non- refundable and non-transferable.

Personal nol card applications are rejected without refund if they did not meet the application conditions, or the customer didn’t confirm or update the required documents within three working days.

Anonymous nol card applications are rejected without refund if they did not meet the application conditions.

Returned /uncollected personal nol cards are blocked without refund if the customer did not claim them within 30 working days.

If the card was lost or stolen, the cardholder is responsible for any usage on his card for a period of 48 hours, which starts from the moment he notifies RTA that the card was stolen or lost. RTA will not be responsible for the available balance on the card until 48 hours have passed.

Customers cannot personalise their anonymous card in case it was lost, stolen, faulty or damaged; as the personalisation won't be activated.

To activate the nol card registration the customer must tap the nol card for check in and check out in the Metro gates located at any Metro station.

No, the personal nol card must be used by the card owner only.
In case the card was lost or stolen, the customer should immediately apply for a refund through the available channels. For personal and registered nol card, the customer can apply online through Refund nol Cards Balance service or through the MLT devices. The card is automatically blocked.
The customer receives an SMS once the registration is approved. He should then use the card on the Metro gates (check in & check out) to activate the card from anonymous to registered.

The personal nol card (regular class) has multiple categories with renewable concessions for students, senior citizens, social affairs and People of Determination. Personal and Registered nol cards balance can be topped up to 5,000 AED. Personal and Registered nol cards can load Travel Pass products of 30,90 and 365 days (one at a time). It has a secure card balance in case of loss or theft, and the customer can apply for a refund through online channels using his PIN code.
