This service enables you to transfer the possession of a non-registered vehicle from an owner to another.

Eligibility Criteria

Individuals, citizens and residents, and companies are eligible to apply for this service.

Documents Required

Individuals

1. Vehicle Clearance Certificate (VCC) or Transfer certificate from another emirate or Export certificate

2. Original Emirates ID

3. Export inspection (in case of used vehicles).

Companies

1. Vehicle Clearance Certificate (VCC) or Transfer certificate from another emirate or Export certificate

2. Copy of the trade licence when requesting the service for the first time

3. Official letter from the company requesting this service

4. Memorandum of Association for LLC companies that carry out vehicle trading activities

5. Export inspection (in case of used vehicles).

How to apply for a Possession Certificate of a Non-Registered Vehicle in Dubai?

• The customer heads to the front desk employee.

• The employee sends a link to the customer.

• The customer uploads the required documents through the link.

• The customer receives the transaction code.

• The customer submits the transaction code to the front desk employee to complete the service process, check and electronically sign the application.

• The customer settles the required fees and the pending fines.

• The customer receives an electronic certificate through SMS and e-mail.

Fees Required

• 100 AED service fees

• 50 AED selling agreement fees

• +20 AED Knowledge and Innovation fees. 

Time Required

• 5 minutes.

Validity

Permanent.

Terms and Conditions

• The customer or his legal representative must be present in person.

• The customer must pay all pending traffic fines, if any.
