This service enables you to obtain the approval of Dubai Municipality to cast concrete foundations and slabs, or obtain approval for shoring works, and re-demarcation of the building from Dubai Municipality (for projects that require that).

How to apply for structural inspection in Dubai?

Login to the Dubai Building Permit System (Dubai BPS).

Apply for the service and upload the required documents.

Receive the unified inspection committee's reply (Accepted with site inspection date / Returned with no visit) through Dubai-BPS , SMS and e-mail .

Meet the unified inspection committee on site on the specified date.

Receive the site inspection results (partial or full approval or returned with reasons).

Terms & Conditions

The inspection is performed by the unified inspection committee formed by Dubai Municipality Construction Control Department and Dubai Survey Department.

Both consulting and contracting Engineers have to be available on the project site during the unified inspection committee visit. , except villa projects and adjustment/ simple additions permits the presence of the consultant on the site during the Municipality engineer’s inspection is not required.

Once the application is accepted, Dubai Municipality's Engineer schedules the site inspection visit through the Dubai BPS. You can obtain Dubai Municipality Engineer name and mobile number from the system.

Survey voucher fees will be generated and the costumer has to pay them with the submission of the next structural inspection request, in case of re-demarcation is required for buildings foundations with plot limit and boundary wall foundations or confirm of gate level for unpaved areas.

For mosques projects, a task will send to Islamic Affairs & Charitable Activities Department to issue the Qibla certificate without the need for the customer to review them separately for foundations of mosques applications .

Ensure that all building permit requirements related to the structural work stage are closed before submitting an application.

In case of partial approval, the request is returned with remarks, allowing the contractor to re-submit it after fulfilling the committee's requirements and selecting the rejected items in the previous application.

Shoring works inspection is for the following work stages:

After the excavation of the first 2 m of natural ground level.

At anchors level (if any).

Upon completion of the excavation work and reaching to the foundation level.

The contractor must complete the construction work for (FIC) and get approval during the structure implementation stage and the system will add it automatically to the request and link it to all buildings in the project in case of not previously approved. Once confirmed, a task is automatically created on the system for the Sewerage and Recycled Water Projects Department to start connecting the FIC to the drainage network without submitting a separate application for Sewerage and Recycled Water Projects Department.

The Contractor should complete the construction work for substation during the structure implementation stage and get approval and the system will add it automatically to the request and link it to all buildings in the project in case of not previously approved. Once confirmed, a task will be created to DEWA HV inspection.

Applications submitted prior to 12:00 a.m. are considered to be applied and scheduled in the next working day, if accepted.

It is submitted during the implementation of the concrete structure and it will not be allowed to submit to check on the last basic slab without substation , and now when the customer submit for structural inspection and select the last slab , the system will add it automatically to the after check the status if it not previously approved according to these steps ; If there is only one substation in the project, it will be added automatically in the request and linked to all buildings in the project. If there is more than one substation, the system will ask you to link it to the buildings in the project (make sure to map all buildings).
