How to apply to Test Samples of Consumer Products in Dubai?

This service enables you to obtain laboratory results related to chemical tests, microbiological tests, halal tests, chemical, mechanical and physical safety tests, quality test, and flammability tests, for various samples of consumer products including cosmetics, children`s toys, textiles, and others, to ensure their compliance with the international standards of consumer protection and safety.

How to apply to Test Samples of Consumer Products in Dubai?

• Apply for service through the available channels.

• Deliver the samples personally or by shipping companies that are contracted by customer to be tested to Dubai Central Laboratory (DCL) Department, Customers Happiness Centre, Ground Floor, D2 Building, Al Karama (Zabeel Road).

• Pay the due fees.

• Receive the test results report through Dubai Municipality website and Email.

Fees Required

• Knowledge and Innovation Fees: AED 20 (per receipt voucher for samples testing)

Terms and Conditions

• This service includes testing the following samples of consumer products:

  • Cosmetics, personal care products, perfumes, disinfectants, sanitizers, and detergents (subject to chemical, microbiological, and halal testing)

  • All types of manufactured children toys from zero up to 14 years old (subject to chemical, mechanical, physical and flammability safety tests)

  • Textiles (subject to chemical, physical, quality, and flammability tests).

• Children's toys are tested by conducting the necessary tests and experiments in compliance with the European standards and specifications.

• All kinds of textile products or fabrics are tested: cotton, wool, silk, and linen; ready-to-wear clothes or upholstery fabrics.

• Cosmetics samples to be tested are determined according to the type of test.

• Bodybuilding food supplements are not considered consumer products, nor are they tested by the Microbiological Analysis Laboratories Section.

• You can receive and print the tests results report through Dubai Municipality website, as per the time period specified in the service application.
