How to get BBMP Trade License ?

Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) issues the trade license to industries and shops having the place of business within Bangalore. Trade license is a permit issued by BBMP granting permission to a person or entity to carry on a particular business at a specific premise. 

Eligibility Criteria

• Traders under BBMP Jurisdiction

Documents Required

• Latest property tax receipt

• Rent agreement copy (if the building is on rent)

• No objection certificate from adjacent / immediate neighbour for residential zone area 

BBMP Trade License Registration Process

Follow the below steps to register for BBMP trade license.

• Visit BBMP website

• Click on "Citizen Services"

• Click on Trade License

• Click on "Online Trade License New Registration"

• Read and accept the terms and condition. Click on Continue.

• Enter the required details.

• Click on Next Button

• Upload Documents

• Click on "Save" button

• Make the required payment online.

• If the trade fee is less than 1000, you can make payment directly at MOH office/Bank by clicking on "Save and Pay later at Bank/MOH Office". Download the application and submit it at MOH office /Bank along with DD/Cheque /Cash. 

BBMP Trade License Renewal Process

Trade License is valid only for one year. It needs to be renewed every year. Follow the below steps to renew BBMP trade license.

• Visit BBMP website

• Click on "Citizen Services"

• Click on Trade License

• Click on "Online Trade License Renewal"

• Read and accept the terms and condition. Click on Continue.

• Select "Search by Application Number" of previous year.

• Enter Application Number and click on Search.

• It shows your previous year trade details.

• Click on Confirm and details gets saved

• Make the required payment online.

• If the trade fee is less than 1000, you can make payment directly at MOH office/Bank by clicking on Save. Download the application and submit it at MOH office /Bank along with DD/Cheque /Cash.

Track BBMP Trade License / Renewal Status

• Visit BBMP Trade License website

• Click on "Know your Application Status for Trade License"

• Enter Application Number

• Click on "Get Status"

BBMP Trade License Receipt Download

• Visit BBMP Trade License website

• Click on "Trade License Acknowledgement or receipt"

• Click on "Download Type". Select "Receipt"

• Enter Application Number

• Click on "Download"

BBMP Trade License Certificate Download

• Visit BBMP Trade License website

• Click on "Trade License Renewal Certificate Download"

• Enter Application Number

• Select "Trade Type"

• Click on "Download"

Trade License Procedure

1. Submission of Application along with payment

2. Issue of Receipt

3. Inspection of Site by Health Inspector

4. Processing by the competent Authority (MoH / DHO / HO / JC)

5. Issue of Licence by MoH / DHO
