Registration of Birth within 21 days of birth

• Ward Councilor / Aanganbadi Sevika’s Recommendation Letter

Registration of Birth after 21 days but within 30 days of birth

How to Register Birth in Bihar?

Issuance of Birth Certificate is available at block level public service centers. 

For registering the birth, all the information should be filled in detailed proforma, in a readable and clear manner.

In the birth registration, once the name of the child is entered the same cannot be amended in any nature and no other (alias) name can be attached to it.

Registration Charges to Apply for a Birth Certificate in Bihar

Following are the registration charges to apply for birth certificate in Bihar.

• Registration of Birth within 21 days of  birth- No charges

• Registration of Birth after 21 days but within 30 days of birth- Rs. 2

• Registration of Birth after 30 days but within 365 days of birth- Rs. 5

• Registration of Birth after 365 days of occurrence- Rs. 10

Birth Certificate- Rs. 10 

First copy of such birth & death is given free of cost.

On payment of Rs. 5.00, a copy of birth & death certificate is available.
