How to apply for Ration Card Mutation in Tamil Nadu?

The term mutations refer to a transfer or change of ownership in municipal records. The following is a step-by-step guide to help you to apply for the mutation of the card in Tamil Nadu.

TNeSevai Registration

 Follow the below steps to register in the eSevai portal.

• Visit TN eSevai portal

• Click on “Citizen Login”

• If you are a new user, click on "New User"

• Enter the required details.

• You will receive an OTP in your registered mobile number to register in the esevai portal.

Apply for Card Mutation in Tamil Nadu

After TN eSevai registration, follow the below steps to apply for card mutation in Tamil Nadu.

• Login to TN eSevai portal.

• Click on "Services"

• Click on “Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department"

• Click on “PDS-502 Card Mutation”

• 

  Enter "Ration Card”, “Mobile Number”, and “Aadhaar Number"

• Click on “Search”

• Basic details will appear pre-filled in the form.

• Click on “View” to verify the details.

• Complete family details will be displayed in the window.

• Select Service Type under the “Service Request” section.

• Adding a New Member: New family member details will be added by entering below mandatory details & Proof and then clicking on "Add" button. If details were found to be incorrect click on the edit/delete button. Finally, click on the “Submit” button.

• After submitting the request, if the transaction is confirmed success message will be received with the “Print Receipt” button to download the receipt.

• Remove the Family Member from the Card: Select the person to remove from the below checkbox with mentioning reason either Tamil or English and then click on the “Submit” button.

• After submitting the request, if the transaction is confirmed success message will be received with the “Print Receipt” button to download the receipt.

• Change of Family Card Type: Based on the Existing Card type the New card type will be displayed as in dropdown from there select it and then click on the “Submit” button. Some of the cards were not eligible for card change those types will get a warning message at top of the page.

• After submitting the request, if the transaction is confirmed success message will be received with the “Print Receipt” button to download the receipt.

• Change of Cylinder: Based on the existing cylinder count, there will be an option for changing the cylinder count from 0 to 1 or 1 to 2. If the existing count is 2 then they are not eligible to change it those will get a warning message.

• After submitting the request, if the transaction is confirmed success message will be received with the “Print Receipt” button to download the receipt

• Change of Family Head Member: Existing Family members details will be listed, from there edit existing family head to some other relationship and then update new family head. Also, mention the reason and attach any one of the documents for a family head change.

• After submitting the request, if the transaction is confirmed success message will be received with the “Print Receipt” button to download the receipt.

• Family Card blocking: Mention the reason for blocking the card either in Tamil or English and then click on the “Submit” button.

• After submitting the request, if the transaction is confirmed success message will be received with the “Print Receipt” button to download the receipt

• Family Card Unblocking: Mention the reason for unblocking the card either in Tamil or English and then click on the “Submit” button.

• After submitting the request, if the transaction is confirmed success message will be received with the “Print Receipt” button to download the receipt.

• Family Card Surrender/Cancellation: Mention the reason for surrender/cancel the card either in Tamil or English and then click on the “Submit” button.

• After submitting the request, if the transaction is confirmed success message will be received with the “Print Receipt” button to download the receipt.

• Change of Address: Existing address will be displayed on the left side and enter the New Address on right with New address proof.

• After submitting the request, if the transaction is confirmed success message will be received with the “Print Receipt” button to download the receipt.

Track Card Mutation Application Status

Follow the below steps to check the status of the card mutation application.

• Login to TN eSevai portal

• Click on "Check Status"

• Enter "Application number" / "Transaction Number" to track the status of the application.

• Click on "Fetch"
