How to Change Address in Voter ID Card?

Change in address happens in following cases.

• Case 1:  When you want to update your address with a new address that is within the same constituency

• Case 2: When you want to update your address with a new address that is outside of your existing constituency. This happens when you move from one city/state to another city/state

• Case 3: When you have some typo or clerical error in your address.

You need to use Form 8 to change address in Voter ID card.

How to change Voter ID card address within the same constituency?

Follow the below steps to update your address with a new address which is within the same constituency.

• Login to  Voters Service Portal

• Click on Form - 8 (Shifting of residence/Correction of entries in existing electoral roll/Replacement of EPIC/Marking of PwD)

• Choose whether you are applying for yourself or for others.

• Verify Part number and Serial number.

• Select ‘Shifting of Residency’.

• Choose ‘within assembly constituency’

• Mention your new address. 

• Upload any one of the required documents for address proof.

• Fill the ‘Declaration’ form and enter the captcha. 

• Click on Preview and Submit.

How to change Voter ID card address to outside your constituency?

Follow the below steps to update your address with a new address which is outside of your existing constituency. This happens when you move from one city/state to another city/state.

• Login to Voters Service Portal

• Click on Form - 8 (Shifting of residence/correction of entries in existing electoral roll/replacement of EPIC/marking of PwD)

• Choose whether you are applying for yourself or for others.

• Verify Part number and Serial number.

• Select ‘Shifting of Residency’.

• Choose ‘outside assembly constituency’

• Mention your new address. 

• Upload any one of the required documents for address proof.

• Fill the ‘Declaration’ form and enter the captcha. 

• Click on Preview and Submit. 

How to make corrections in Voter ID card address?

Follow the below steps to update your address in Voter ID card online when you have some typo or clerical error in your address.

• Login to  Voters Service Portal

• Click on Form - 8 (Shifting of residence/Correction of entries in existing electoral roll/Replacement of EPIC/Marking of PwD)

• Choose whether you are applying for yourself or for others.

• Verify Part Number and Serial Number

• Choose "Correction of Entries in Existing Roll".

• Scroll down and select Address

• Provide your updated Address

• Upload proof of Address documents.

• Provide declaration

• Once you have entered all the details, click on "Preview & Submit" button.
