CHEERAG Yojana

CHEERAG stands for CM Haryana Equal Education Relief, Assistance and Grant. According to the Cheerag Yojana in Haryana, the students of economically weaker sections studying in government schools in the academic year 2022-23, whose annual verified income of their parents is Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand or less as per the family identity card, will be admitted to the class in the academic year 2023-24.

Eligibility Criteria for Cheerag Yojana in Haryana

Following are the eligibility criteria for Cheerag Yojana in Haryana.

• The above scheme will be applicable from class 3 to 12.
• Only those students will be eligible under this scheme who have received/passed their education from government schools in the previous academic year.
• Students will be eligible for admission only on the seats available in recognized private schools of the same section in which they are currently studying and they can also apply for admission in more than one school in the section.
• In private recognized schools, only those students of economically weaker section whose parents' income is Rs 1 lakh 80 thousand or less will be considered eligible for admission and that income will be determined by the annual verified income of the family identity card.

• After the lottery draw, if the successful students in the main list do not take admission by the prescribed date, then admission of the students in the waiting list will be done on their vacant seats.
• Students will be eligible for admission only on the seats available in recognized private schools of the same section in which they are currently studying and they can also apply for admission in more than one school in the section.
