Chief Minister Village Industries Employment Scheme
The Government of Uttar Pradesh, India, has launched several schemes to promote rural employment opportunities and entrepreneurship in the state, including the Chief Minister Village Industries Employment Scheme (CMVIES).
The scheme is implemented by the Khadi and Village Industries Board, Uttar Pradesh Small Industries Corporation, and other government and non-governmental organizations. The CMVIES aims to promote entrepreneurship and rural industries in the state and contribute to the overall economic development of Uttar Pradesh.
The scheme will remain in operation for a period of five years. Under the scheme in first phase the eligible beneficiary will get interest subsidy for the loan upto Rs.10.00 lakhs for Term Loan/Working Capital.
Benefits of Chief Minister Village Industries Employment Scheme
The scheme provides financial assistance in the form of grants, subsidies, and loans to eligible beneficiaries. The scheme also provides training and skill development programs to enhance the beneficiaries' skills and knowledge. The CMVIES aims to create employment opportunities in rural areas and reduce migration to urban areas.

Eligibility Criteria of Chief Minister Village Industries Employment Scheme
Following are the eligibility criteria of Chief Minister Village Industries Employment Scheme

Preference will be given to the candidates trained by Industrial Training Institute/Polytechnic.

Educated unemployed youth whose age for Govt. service has expired.

A candidate trained under TRYSEM and any other Govt. scheme.

Traditional artisan

Women interested in self-employment.

Candidate passed commercial education [10+2 with village industry as a subject.

Who has registered himself in Employment Exchange of the concerned district. Selection Criteria Borrowers should not be below the age of 18 years and not more than 50 years.

50% of the borrowers should be from SC/ST /O.B.C. category.

Gramodyog units should be identified based upon the availability of raw materials locally for identified beneficiaries.
