Delhi Vidhwa Pension Yojana

The Government of Delhi has launched Vidhwa Pension Yojana on 12th December 2018. Financial assistance of Rs. 2500 per month is provided to beneficiary under this scheme.

Vidhwa Pension Yojana intends to provide social security by way of Financial Assistance to Widows, Divorced, Separated, Abandoned, deserted or Destitute women in the age group of 18 years to lifelong who have no adequate means of subsistence and are poor, needy and vulnerable.

Eligibilty Criteria

Following is the eligibility criteria for Delhi Vidhwa Pension Yojana.

• Permanent resident of Delhi

• Any widowed women of Delhi of age 18 to 60 years 

• Annual income of the applicant should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh per annum

• Applicant should not be receiving benefits under any other schemes.

Documents Required

Following documents are required to obtain benefits under Delhi Vidhwa Pension Yojana.

• Aadhaar Card

• Birth Certificate or any other relevant document to prove age of the applicant

• Address proof or Domicile certificate to prove applicant is permanent resident of Delhi

• Income certificate

• Self declaration certificate that beneficiary does not get any other pension.

• Bank account passbook

• One recent passport size photograph.

Online Application

Follow the below steps to apply online for Delhi Vidhwa Pension Yojana.

• Visit the Delhi E-District Portal

• Click on "New User” (Links in “Quick Links” section below)

• Complete the registration process either by providing aadhaar details or voter id card information

• Enter the captcha code

• It is mandatory to provide working Mobile Number during the registration process as access code and password will be sent on the mobile number. Once the access code is sent to your number, the registration must be completed within 3 working days.

• Once registered, login into your account

• Go to “Services” section and click on “Delhi Pension Scheme to Women in Distress”

• Enter the required information

• Upload all the required documents

• Submit the Application Form. An application number will be created which can be used to track the application later.

• Once your application is submitted, concerned officials will review it.

• If everything is found in order, financial benefit in the form of pension will be given to you every month.

Apply through CSC

Follow the below procedure to apply offline for Delhi Vidhwa Pension Yojana.

• Visit the nearest CSC with all the required documents mentioned above

• Ask the concerned person at CSC to register you under Delhi Widow Pension Scheme

• Once the registration is complete, a confirmation receipt will be given to you

Check Status

• Visit the Delhi E-District Portal

• Click on "Track your application"

• Select Department as "Women and Child Development Department"

• Select Applied for as "Delhi Pension Scheme to Women in Distress"

• Enter Application Number, Applicant Name

• Enter Captcha

• Click on "Search"

 Eligible women can register themselves under this scheme by 25th January 2019
