e-Sahaj

The e-Sahaj portal allows organizations/firms/companies/individuals to apply for security clearance from anywhere over the Internet. The e-Sahaj portal has been developed by National Informatics Center and is owned by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. 

Objectives of e-Sahaj

Following are the objectives of e-Sahaj.

• Online portal for all stakeholders

• Automation of the process of grant of Security Clearance by Ministry of Civil Aviation (MOCA) and its attached offices- Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS)

• Standardization of information formats

• Implementation of workflow for security clearance
  from users to Ministry/ associated organizations/ MHA

• Single Window facility

• Reducing manual interface

Major Functionalities of e-Sahaj

Following are the major functionalities of e-Sahaj.

• Secure OTP based Registration/login for users

• Currently, a total of 13 types of security clearances is covered.

• More type of security clearances would be put online in due course

• Document upload facility

• Role-based secure access

• Provision to seek online clarifications from users and send replies

• Dashboard with the status of the application at each level

• Applicants can submit a request online to withdraw an already submitted application. If the concerned section/ organisation has not forwarded it further, it may at its discretion permit returning of the said application online on the portal. In any case, the complete record of the already submitted application would continue in the portal and will not be removed.

How to register in the e-Sahaj portal?

Follow the below instructions before registering in the e-Sahaj portal.

• This form is for the online registration of organizations or individuals seeking security clearance to work in the aviation sector.

• Registration of organizations/firms/companies is to be done once, by the person authorized by the same.

• Registration of an individual applying for security clearance is to be done by himself on the portal.

• The person doing the registration for himself or on behalf of any organization/firm/company will be authenticated through OTP and also a documentary ID proof needs to be attached.

• On successful registration by the portal, a registration ID will be generated by the system to be used as a login Id and it will be sent to the registrant's email. The password will be sent to the registered mobile number.

• After successful registration, the user needs to log in to the portal to fill out and submit the applicable security clearance form.

• The user will be prompted to change the system-generated password to his password.

Follow the below steps to register in the e-Sahaj portal

• Visit the e-Sahaj online portal

• Click on the “Registration” button at the top of the homepage

• After clicking the “Registration” button, you will land on the registration page

• On the “Registration” page, you have to fill in the required details, including “Full name of the Company/Firm”, “Full name of the person” and more

• Click on the “Register” button

How to login to the e-Sahaj portal?

Follow the below steps to login into the e-Sahaj portal

• Visit the e-Sahaj online portal

• Enter “Login ID”, “Password”, and “Captcha”

• Click on the “Login” button

• After logging in, you will land on the “Dashboard” page

• Here you can apply using required details including “Company details”, “Board of directory or Key executive details”, “Shareholder details”, and “Details of criminal cases”

After submission of the application, it is requested to take print-out of the submitted application
