Electoral Photo Identity Card

The Election Commission of India has directed that all electors in all constituencies who have been issued Electors Photo Identity Card (EPIC) have to produce the Electors Photo Identity Card for their identification at the polling station before casting their votes.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for an EPIC card are listed below.

• The applicant must be 18 years or above.

• The applicant must have a permanent address.

• The applicant should be a permanent citizen.

Documents Required

Follow below are the documents required for applying for EPIC card.

• One passport-sized photograph

• Identity proof

• Address proof

Apply Online for EPIC

Follow the below steps to apply for EPIC card online. 

• Login NVSP website.

• If you are an existing user, use User id and and Password to login. Else, click on "Register as new user".

• Click on "Fresh Inclusion/Enrollment".

• Enter "Citizenship".

• Enter your details and upload the required "Documents".

• Click on "Next".

• Complete the application form as prescribed.

• Click on "Submit", after reviewing your application form for EPIC card. 

Apply Offline

Follow the below steps to apply offline for EPIC.

• The applicant must visit the nearest State Election office and request Form 6.

• Fill ‘form 6’ with necessary details and provide all supporting documents such as Identity proof, address proof, etc. The applicant may submit the completed form to the respective election office.

• On verification of form, Voter ID will be issued.

Track Status

• Visit NVSP website.

• Click on 'Track Application Status'.

• Enter 'Reference ID'.

• Click on 'Track Status'.

Application Fees

The application fee for EPIC Card is INR 25.

Processing Time

The processing time for EPIC card will take a minimum of 30 days.
