Free Laptop Yojana - Rajasthan

The main objective of the Free Laptop Scheme is to encourage the meritorious students of government schools and to improve the quality of education.

Eligibility Criteria for Free Laptop Yojana in Rajasthan

Following are the eligibility criteria for free laptop yojana in Rajasthan.

• The applicant should be a native resident of Rajasthan.

• Students studying in 8th, 10th and 12th grade will be made eligible for this scheme.

• Under this scheme, only students who score more than 75% in the board examination are eligible for this scheme.

• Only 6000 students of 8th grade, 6,300 students of 10th class and 9,000 students of 12th standard will be eligible under the free laptop distribution scheme.

• The annual income of the applicant’s family applying under this scheme should be less than Rs. 1 lakh.

• The first 6000 students studying in government schools of Rajasthan state as per the state level merit list, who have secured minimum 75 percent marks in the Elementary Education Eligibility Test of Class 8 and only in government schools as per the Elementary Education Eligibility of Class 8 at the district level. The first 100-100 students studying will be eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.

• Students studying in government schools of Rajasthan state who have secured first 5880 positions in class 10 and first 120 positions in the entrance examination as per the state level merit list, who have secured minimum 75 percent marks in the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education examination of class 10, Achieving students. Similarly, for laptop distribution at the district level, according to the district level merit list, only those students studying in government schools who have secured minimum 70 percent marks in class 10 board examination and have secured the first 98 positions in the district and the first two positions in the entrance examination are eligible. Wall students will be eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.

• According to the state level merit list, those who have secured minimum 75 percent marks in the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education examination of class 12, among the 5880 fellow faculty of class 12 studying in government schools of Rajasthan state and have secured the first 120 positions in the Senior Upadhyay examination. Laptops will be provided to the students. Similarly, for distribution of laptops at the district level, according to the district level merit list of those who have secured minimum 70 percent marks in the class 12 board examination, 98 laptops will be distributed in all the streams of study in government schools only. Students securing first two positions in the district and senior Upadhyaya examination will be eligible to avail the benefits of the scheme.
