How to do Hindu Marriage registration in Andhra Pradesh?

The Hindu Marriage Act is a law enacted by the Indian Parliament in 1955 as part of the Hindu Code Bills. The marriage of Hindus can be registered online through the MeeSeva portal.

Documents required for Hindu marriage registration in Andhra Pradesh

Following are the documents required for Hindu marriage registration in Andhra Pradesh.

• Application Form 

• Wedding Card

• Date of Birth Proof, SSC Marks Memo, Passport, the Birth certificate issued by Local Bodies, Notary affidavit or any other proof (Both Husband and Wife)

• Marriage Photo

• Residence Proof(Both Husband and Wife)

How to apply for Hindu Marriage Registration Certificate In Andhra Pradesh?

Follow the below step for the registration of Hindu Marriage in Andhra Pradesh

• Visit the MeeSeva Portal

• Click on the “MeeSeva online portal” button on the right of the home screen

• Scroll down to the page and under List of Services, select “Registration Department”

• Select “Hindu Marriage certificate” Service in the Registration Department

• Now Hindu Marriage Registration Request Screen will be displayed

• Enter all Applicant details such as Mobile no and Whether Marriage is Performed or Not. 

• Enter all Particulars of Husband and wife such as Name, Religion, Caste Name, Date of Birth, Age at Solemnization of the Marriage, Date of solemnization of Marriage, Rank or Profession, Permanent Place of Residence, the place with Names of Mandal and District at which marriage was solemnised, SRO Office, Relationship, No of Certificate Copies and Whether Bride or Bridegroom is a divorcee 

Note: Here a provision is provided to update the residence address of Husband and Wife and to select the time slot of SRO.

• Collect the necessary supporting documents as indicated in the Hindu Marriage registration request page scan the documents and upload them into the system.

Note: All the mandatory fields have to be filled in; otherwise request will not be accepted by the system.

• Click Show Payment. Another window appears requesting to Confirm Payment

Note: Here Service charges and uploaded documents are displayed.

• Collect the amount from the Citizen and click Confirm Payment to submit the request.

• On confirmation, a receipt will be generated as depicted in the following figure. The receipt will contain the Certificate delivery date. 

• Ensure that you have sufficient balance with your service provider (SCA); else the system will not accept the request.

• On submission of the request, Citizen Receives Message. Like your Request for Hindu Marriage, Registration Certificate has been entered vide Application Number, Transaction Id and sent to Department

• On submission, the request will be sent to the workflow of the respective SRO for further processing.

Note: Here Certificate is generated at SRO Office. Citizens should collect Certificates at SRO Office.

Important:-

The appointment date and time will be informed through SMS. Please attend the concerned office & bring the following documents along with 3 Witnesses (Original & Xerox Copies).

2. Marriage Photo

3. SSC Marks Memo, Passport, the Birth certificate issued by Local Bodies, Notary
   affidavit or any other proof (Husband, Wife)

4. Residence Proof(Husband, Wife)
