Kanya Sumangla Yojana Uttar Pradesh

Mukhya Mantri Kanya Sumangla Yojana is an initiative by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to assure both safety and security for the girl child. Kanya Sumangala Yojana intends to eliminate issues like female foeticide, skewed sex ratio, child marriage and negative mindset for girls in the family etc prevalent in the society, which are barriers for girls and women to achieve their fundamental rights including protection, health and education.

Benefits of Kanya Sumangla Yojana Uttar Pradesh

This is a conditional cash transfer scheme that ensures social security to the girl child along with her development. In this scheme, a girl child can have monetary benefits in six stages:-

• Stage 1: The girl child born on 01/04/2019 or after will be provided Rs. 2000/- One Time

• Stage 2: The girl child who has received full immunization and is not born before 01/04/2018 will be provided Rs. 1000/- One Time

• Stage 3: The girl child who has enrolled in Standard 1 during the current academic year will be provided Rs. 2000/- One Time.

• Stage 4: The girl child who has enrolled in Standard 6 during the current academic year will be provided Rs. 2000/- One Time.

• Stage 5: The girl child who has enrolled in Standard 9 during the current academic year will be provided Rs. 3000/- One Time.

• Stage 6: The girl who has passed standard 10/12 and has enrolled on a bachelor's degree/ at least 2 years of certified diploma course in the current academic year will be provided Rs. 5000/- One Time.

Eligibility Criteria of Kanya Sumangla Yojana Uttar Pradesh

The following are the eligibility criteria for Kanya Sumangla Yojana.

• The resident must be of Uttar Pradesh and must proof of residence for the same under which Ration Card/ Aadhar Card/ Voter ID/ electricity bill/telephone bill will be valid.

• The income of the beneficiary's family must be a maximum of 3 Lakh per annum

• A maximum of two girls of one family will be benefitted under the scheme

• The size of the family- The family must have a maximum of two children.

• If a woman delivers twin babies in her second delivery then the third girl child will also be eligible for the benefit. If a woman has a girl from the first delivery and she has twin girls from her second delivery then only in this condition all three girls will be eligible for the benefit.

• If a family has adopted an orphan girl then a maximum of two girls will be benefitting under the scheme including the biological children and the adopted girl child.

Apply Online for Kanya Sumangla Yojana Uttar Pradesh

Follow the below steps to apply online for Kanya Sumangla Yojana.

• Visit Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana portal.

• Click on "Citizen Services Portal (Apply Here)".

• Click on "I agree". Click on "Continue"

• Register the details of parent/guardian/Self by providing the required details.

• Once the registration is completed, Login to the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana portal.

• For activating your profile, fill required information related to the girl child.

• To complete your profile activation, upload the necessary documents required for verification.

• Applicant must add beneficiary for availing different benefits
