To bring qualitative improvement in the standard of living of the workers engaged in building and other construction works, the Building and Construction (Regulation of Planning and Service Conditions) Act, 1996, and the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Cess Act were implemented by the Government of India.

Eligibility Criteria for Labour Card in Uttar Pradesh

• Applicant's age should be between 18-60 years.

• The applicant should have completed at least 90 days of work in a year as a construction worker.

Documents Required for Labour Card in Uttar Pradesh

• Registration fee is Rs 20/- and to maintain membership Rs 20/- per year or Rs 60/- is to be deposited as contribution for 3 years.

• 01 passport size photograph.

• Self attested copy of an Aadhaar card.

• A copy of the Self-Declaration letter.

• A copy of Employment Certificate

• Self attested copy of Bank passbook

How to Register for Labor Card in Uttar Pradesh?

Follow the below steps to register for Labor Card in Uttar Pradesh.

• Visit the UPBOCW Portal.

• Click on ‘Labor Registration/Correction’ under ‘Worker’.

• You will be directed to the ‘Labour Management Information System’.

• Enter your Aadhaar Card Number.

• Select your ‘Mandal’.

• Select your District. 

• Enter your mobile number and click on ‘Submit’.

How to Check Status of your Labor Card in Uttar Pradesh?

• Visit the UPBOCW Portal

• Click on ‘Registration Status’ under ‘Worker’.

• You can check your application status through ‘Aadhaar Number’, ‘Application Number’, or ‘Registration Number’.

• Enter the details for the option you wish to view details. 

• Enter the captcha and click on ‘Send OTP’.

• An OTP will be sent on your registered mobile number. Enter the OTP.

• Click on ‘List of Labour (District/ Block Wise) under ‘Workers.

• Select your district.

• Select Civic Bodies or Development Block.

• Enter the Nature of Work.

• Click on ‘Submit’.
