Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana was started in the state of Uttar Pradesh to provide financial assistance to families of farmers who die or become handicapped while working in fields. Up to INR 5 lakh will be provided to the dependents of a farmer, who dies or becomes divyang, due to an accident and if their age at the time of the accident is between 18 years and 70 years.

Beneficiaries

This accidental insurance scheme will cover the following persons:-

  • Account holder / Joint Account Holder Farmers.

  • The Farmer's family includes Mother, Father, Husband, Wife, Girl Child, Boy Children, Daughter in Law, grandson and granddaughter.

  • Landless farmers who perform farming on land taken at pattas.

  • Bataidars who work on other people's fields and share crops after it is harvested.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must fulfill the following conditions to become eligible for Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana:-

  • This scheme will cover farmers and their family members whose age is between 18 to 70 years.

  • Farmers and their family must be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh.

Application Procedure

Follow the below steps to apply for Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana

  • The farmers or their family members can write an application to the District Collector.

  • This application form must consist of all the detailed information about the incident that happened to the farmer. 

  • The written application must be submitted to the Tehsil Office within the time frame specified below. 

  • After proper verification by authorities, the assistance amount would be transferred to farmers or their family members depending on the case.

Time frame

All the farmers or their family members can apply for Mukhyamantri Kisan Durghatna Kalyan Yojana within the given time frame:-

  • Application needs to be submitted within 45 days. However, collectors can give an additional time frame of 1 month or 30 days.

  • Applications submitted after 75 days would not be considered for assistance.
