Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship in Odisha (Class - 11 to 12)

The Government of Odisha in School & Mass Education Department is awarding ‘Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship’ (PSMTS) out of the State budget to provide financial assistance to the meritorious Higher Secondary School Students of Odisha having proficiency in Mathematics studying in Odia medium Government / Aided / Recognized  Institutions.

The scholarship is awarded to students pursuing their studies in Class XI and XII in Higher Secondary Schools affiliated to Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha.

Modalities for Award of PSMTS

i. The scheme is applicable to students reading in Odia medium Higher Secondary Schools affiliated to CHSE(Q).

ii, There shall be no income criteria for the award of this scholarship.

ili, A student may enjoy more than one scholarship at a time including PSMTS. 

Merit Criteria for PSMTS Selection

The following factors will be taken into consideration:

i. Fulfillment of eligibility conditions as per the modalities.

ii, Online authentication/validation of student record by the Principal/Head of concerned Higher Secondary School/institutions.

ii. Final Merit/Selection list of 1000 students will be drawn in terms of aggregate mark plus the marks secured in Mathematics in HSC Exam provided by BSE (0).

iv. In case of tie, the position of the candidate shall be determined by the mark secured in S.C.P.

General Criteria for Award of PSMTS Scholarship

This scheme will be implemented online under State Scholarship Portal Website

The list of Top-2064 HSC Examination 2022 passed out students provided by Board of Secondary Education, Odisha will be published in State Scholarship Portal for online application by students studying in Higher Secondary Schools affiliated to CHSE (0).

Validation of online application by Principal/ Head of Institution is mandatory.

After receipt of the verified/validated applications, Director, Higher Secondary Education (O) shall award the scholarship to the top 1000 students.

The scholarship will be disbursed to the selected candidates account through electronic transfer of funds (DBT). The Awardees need to open joint Bank Account in the name of student and one of her/his parents.

The Scholarship will be not renewed if the student discontinued/ fails to qualify for promotion to next higher class (class XII).

How to apply for PSMTS Scholarship ?

To apply the scholarship, eligible students need to follow the below given steps:

• Click Registration link at the portal, if you are new user. Existing user can click on the login button.

• Enter the Aadhaar number and proceed further.

• Check your registered mobile or email to get the user ID and password.

• Click login link at the portal and enter User ID and password to apply the scholarship.

• Provide all necessary details like student, academic, eligibility and bank information.

• Click on the “Save as draft” button to draft the information or click on “Next” button to save and proceed the scholarship form.

• The preview of the completed form will appear on the page. Download the forms and take its print out.
