How to get a Pollution Under Control Certificate?
A Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUC) is an official document issued by the government after the thorough verification of the vehicle’s emission levels. As per the Motor Vehicle Act, like a motor insurance policy, registration certificate, and driving license, a PUC certificate is now mandatory to carry while driving.
Application Procedure
The procedure to obtain a PUC certificate is as under.

If the vehicle is new then the motor dealer will arrange for the PUC certificate.

For the renewal, you will have to take the vehicle to any authorized petrol pump or authorized emission centers.

They will scan the ejection pipe to check for the emission rate.

A certificate will be issued to you after you pay the fees.
Track Status
Follow the below steps to check the application status of PUC certificate.

Visit E-Vahan website.

Click on 'Application Status'.

Enter the application ID.

Click on 'View Application Details'.
Search for PUC Certificate
Follow the below steps to search for PUC certificate.

Visit E-vahan website.

Enter Registration Number, Chassis Number (Last 5 Character) and verification code.

Click on PUC details.

Click on Print to save the PUC certificate.
PUC Fees
Normally for checking pollution, you need to pay a sum of INR 60 - INR 100.
Validity
The validity pollution certificate is for six months after which a new certificate would be required.
