The Public Health Pest Control Section is committed to the highest safety standards when using pesticides, selecting the most effective and least harmful ones in order to preserve public health and ensure the safety of the environment, the community and the pest control operators.

The Public Health Pest Control Section offers the following services:

Combating disease-carrying public health pests and toxic pests for citizens and residents, and toxic pests only for schools and government departments.

Dubai residents can obtain pest control services by calling one of the pest control companies authorized by the Public Health Pest Control Section.

Public health pest notifications are considered an emergency in the following cases:

Poisonous pests' notifications, such as: snakes, scorpions, spiders (red spider, black widow spider)

Notifications received from the properties of their Highnesses and Sheikhs

Notifications received from VIPs.

A second notification may be filed 15 days after the first one, if the infestation persisted.

This service is not offered in Jebel Ali Free Zone, as it is considered a free industrial and investment area under the management of Dubai Ports Authority and the Free Zone Authority, which owns a pest control specialised company, Emdad.
