How to register and activate a Salik Tag?

This service enables you to register the purchased Salik tag and create a new account. If you already have an account, you can add a tag and a vehicle to the account.
Eligibility Criteria
All individual customers, companies and governmental entities are eligible to apply for this service.
Documents Required

Salik tag number and activation key.

Mobile number (used for all Salik related communication)

Vehicle registration card details, for the vehicles registered outside the UAE and the vehicles with export plates (for emirates other than Dubai).
How to register and activate a Salik Tag?
Through Salik Website

The customer fills in the details of the required information and required documents.

The customer's Salik tag is activated.
Through Dubai Drive App

The customer logs in to the Dubai Drive App, selects Salik then Tag Activation.

The customer fills in the required details.

After the successful activation of the tag, the customer can easily make the desired amendments to the vehicle through Dubai Drive App.
Through Dubai Now App

The customer logs in to the Dubai Now App and selects Tag Activation.

Through Customer Happiness Centres and Salik Service Counters

The customer must complete all the required steps until receiving a notification that the transaction is successfully completed.

If the customer has more than 1 Salik tag, he must use any of them to complete the registration and create a new account, then add the rest of the tags to the account to activate them.

After receiving the Account and the Pin Code through SMS, the customer can create an online Salik account that enables him to electronically check his account details and use it later for all other Salik services.

The total cost of a Salik tag online is AED 120. This includes AED 50 for the cost of the tag, AED 50 for the prepaid toll, which will be added to your Salik account and AED 20 for the cost of delivery. Please note that some areas of the UAE are outside of the delivery area.
