This service enables you to obtain or renew a permit for groundwater drainage or dewatering at construction sites.
Documents Required for Land Drainage and Dewatering Permit
- Additional document for Manhole Location Image or Drawing of the Drainage Connection requested or Undertaking Letter from the Landowner or Authority as the case may apply (Optional).
How to request for a Land Drainage and Dewatering Permit?
Follow the below steps to request for a Land Drainage and Dewatering Permit.

Login to Dubai Municipality website.

Apply for the service.

Check Dubai Municipality's reply (Approved/Rejected) through the website.

Pay the due fees.

Receive the permit through Dubai Municipality website.
Time Required for a Land Drainage and Dewatering Permit
- 1 working day
Fees Required for a Land Drainage and Dewatering Permit

For government projects: AED 1,000 per month
-
For other projects: 25 fils per day, per insertion
-
0.25 fils per day, per insertion or per linear meter (with a minimum of AED 100 for per drainage)

Security Deposit: AED 10,000 (for water drainage into the sea or artificial lakes)

Knowledge and Innovation Fees: AED 20.
