RMEWF-Financial assistance for marriage of daughters of ESM/Remarriage of Widows

It is a welfare scheme implemented by the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The scheme provides financial assistance to Pensioner/Non-Pensioner Ex-Servicemen (ESM) up to the rank of Havildar or their widows for marriage of their daughters and also remarriage of widows.

Financial Assistance

The Marriage Grant is Rs 50,000/- per daughter (max for two daughters) for marriages. The same amount of Rs 50,000/- is applicable for the remarriage of widows also.

Eligibility Criteria for RMEWF-Financial assistance for marriage of daughters of ESM/Remarriage of Widows

The following criteria must be fulfilled for obtaining financial assistance.

• Applicant must be an ESM or his widow.

• Should be of rank Havildar & below.

• The daughter should be above 18 years of age.

• Should be recommended by the respective ZSB.

• Should not have obtained any financial grant for this purpose from State/Service.

Documents required for RMEWF-Financial assistance for marriage of daughters of ESM/Remarriage of Widows

Following are the documents required for the application purpose.

• Discharge Book/Document (must have entry regarding daughter).

• Proof of Age of the daughter.

• Proof of Marriage - Certificate from Registrar/Village Sarpanch.

• A Certificate from Applicant that he/she has not taken any money/assistance/grant from respective State Govt / Services towards the daughter's marriage.

• Details of Bank A/c No (in PNB/SBI only) ie IFS Code, Account Number, and name of the bank.

• Copy of Aadhar Card of the applicant ESM/widow/dependent.

• Enter the details

• Click on 'Submit'

Status of Application

Following are the steps to check the status of the application.

• Visit Kendriya Sainik Board Secretariate website

• Click on 'Status of Application’

• Enter DAK ID and Verification Code.

• Click on 'Search’

Payment Procedure of RMEWF-Financial assistance for marriage of daughters of ESM/Remarriage of Widows

After approval of the cases, the approved cases will be processed for payment via NEFT by the Accounts section of KSB Sectt.

Subsequent Grant

Fresh online application is required to be filled for marriage grant for second daughter (if any) as per the above procedure within 180 days of the date of marriage.
