The objective of the YSR Kapu Nestham scheme is to financially empower Kapu, Balija, Telaga, Ontari women between the age of 45-60 years by enhancing their livelihood opportunities and living standards with financial assistance of a total amount of Rs.75,000/- over the period of 5 years i.e., Rs.15,000/- per annum.

Eligibility Criteria of YSR Kapu Nestham

Following are the eligibility criteria for YSR Kapu Nestham.

  • The applicant should be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh.

  • Total family income should be less than Rs.10,000/- per month in Rural areas and Rs.12,000/- per month in urban areas.

  • Total land holding of the family should be less than 3.00 Ac. of Wet (or) 10 Ac. of Dry land (or) 10 Acres of land put together for this purpose.

  • No family member should be a government employee or Government pensioner. The families of Sanitary workers are exempted.

  • Families should not own a four-wheeler (Taxis, Tractors, Autos are exempted).

  • Monthly electricity consumption of a family dwelling unit should be less than 300 units.

  • No family member should be an income tax payee.

  • Less than 1000 sq. feet of built-up area (Residential or commercial).

  • The age of the applicant should be between 45 – 60 Years  

  • The applicant should be a Female.

  • The applicant must belong to the Kapu community (Kapu, Balija, Telaga and Ontari Communities)

Documents Required for YSR Kapu Nestham

Following are the documents required for YSR Kapu Nestham.

  • Integrated Caste Certificate (which includes Caste, Date of Birth & Nativity), or

  • Birth Certificate/ SSC Marks Sheet, or

  • Aadhar Card

Identification of Beneficiaries and Application Process under YSR Kapu Nestham

All eligible beneficiaries under this scheme shall be identified through the following process: 

  • Identification of the eligible beneficiaries shall be carried out, on the ground level by a door to door survey conducted by the Village Volunteers in villages and Ward Volunteers in ULBs. 

  • The identification of beneficiaries under the scheme is made in a foolproof manner, so as to ensure selection of only the eligible beneficiaries. 

  • The following data will be captured as part of the enumeration: 

    • Name 

    • Aadhaar Number of the Beneficiary 

    • Mobile Number of the Beneficiary 

    • Name of the Head of the Family 

    • Aadhaar number of Head of the family 

    • Proof of Caste 

    • Proof of Date of Birth 

    • Total Family Income 

    • Unencumbered Bank Account Number / IFSC Code /Bank Name 

    • Copy of Bank Pass Book 

    • Vehicle Number – in case of possession of four wheelers (other than hire vehicles) 

    • Details of land holding of family (Nature – Wet/Dry, Extent – in acres) 

    • Size of Property in Municipal Area (<= 750 Sq.ft) 

    • Details of employment in Government(Salaried/Pensioner) 

  • The Village / Ward Volunteers shall adhere to the eligibility criteria while identifying the beneficiaries. 

  • The lists of the beneficiaries prepared by the Village Volunteers shall be validated by the Welfare Assistant and pushed to the respective MPDO/Municipal Commissioner for scrutiny. The MPDOs / Municipal Commissioners concerned shall peruse and scrutinize the beneficiary lists and proofs and then forward to the EDs of BC Corporation who in turn sends to the respective District Collector for approval.  

  • The District Collectors shall verify the beneficiary list, approve the same and forward to the Managing Director, A.P State EBC Welfare & Development Corporation, for sanction of the amount. 

  • Approved list shall be displayed in the Village / Ward Secretariat for Social Audit. 

  • The Managing Director, A.P State EBC Welfare & Development Corporation shall verify the district-wise lists of the beneficiaries and sanction the amounts based on the budget available.
