Government of Andhra Pradesh launched YSR Pellikaanuka scheme to provide financial support and security to poorest families for the girl's wedding ceremony in the state and also to provide financial security even after the marriage.

The main objective of this scheme "YSR Pellikaanuka" to help the poor girl by providing financial support and abolish child marriages and protect the bride by registering the marriage.

Vision of the scheme is to EMPOWER & PROTECT THE GIRL CHILD, PROMOTE COMPULSORY REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE AND CONVERGE ALL MARRIAGE RELATED INCENTIVE SCHEMES.

YSR Pellikaanuka Scheme Guidelines

  • Applicants can register from Mandal Mahila Samakhya / Mepma office.

  • Officers will then do field inspection.

  • Before the wedding, 20% of the incentive will be deposited in the bank account of the bride after field verification.

  • The rest of the money is deposited after getting married.

  • Afterwards the marriage certificate is issued.

Eligibility Criteria of YSR Pellikaanuka Scheme

If both the bride and groom are from the state of Andhra Pradesh.

  • Both the bride and bride groom must be enrolled in the Praja Sadhikara Survey

  • Both the bride and bride groom must be residents of the state of Andhra Pradesh

  • Both the bride and bride groom must have an Aadhaar card.

  • The bride must have a white ration card

  • The bride must be 18 years of age and bride groom must be 21 years of age as on the date of marriage.

  • Only those who are married for the first time are eligible to apply for the scheme. However, the bride can apply for the scheme if she is a widow.

  • Marriage should only take place in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

  • Eligibility: If the bride is from Andhra Pradesh and the groom belongs to other states (Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh & Odissa).

Documents Required to apply for YSR Pellikaanuka Scheme

The following documents shall be considered as valid proof of eligibility for all the schemes covered under the YSR Pelli kaanuka-Single Desk:

3 Income (only for bride) white ration card / Mee Seva income certificate
4 Residence Enrollment in the Praja Sadhikara Survey
5 Disability SADAREM Certificate for permanent disability ( Must be at least 40% Permanent Disability)
6 Widowhood  Widow pension

 Self-declaration, if widow pension is not sanctioned
7 Membership of AP Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board A APBOCWWB Registration Identity Card
8 Proof of contribution to AP Labour Welfare Fund APLWB Registration Identity Card

How to apply for YSR Pelli Kaanuka scheme?

Velugu - Mandal Office

Registrations shall be made at least (5) calendar days before the date of marriage. The Registrations can be performed from Registration-Cum-Help Desks at the Mandal Mahila Samakhyas / Velugu Office for Rural Area citizens

MEPMA - Municipality Office

Registrations shall be made at least (5) calendar days before the date of marriage. The Registrations can be performed from Registration-Cum-Help Desks at the MEPMA Municipality for Urban Area citizens.
