I have exceeded my DOB change limit in Aadhaar. How can i change DOB now?

You can update the Date of Birth (DoB) in your Aadhaar only once. In case you have a genuine need to update the DoB again, you have to follow an exception process as given here.

Visit any Aadhaar Kendra with a valid Date of Birth (DoB) Proof in your name as per this list.

If this request gets rejected, call 1947 or write to help@uidai.gov.in and request for ‘exception update’ by sharing your latest Update Request Number and contact details.


Dear Resident, your DoB can only be updated once. In case it needs to be updated more than the prescribed limit, then it can be done through the exception handling process. For that, you'll have to visit Aadhaar Kendra with the following documents:

i.) A DOB certificate issued by the authority under the Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1969.

ii.) A self-declaration stating that he /she is requesting an update of DOB, after availing DoB update service once. For more details, kindly read the SOP here.
