The government of Punjab has launched Ghar Ghar Rozgaar and Karobaar Mission to provide every household in the State with at least one job to the eligible youth in the family. The Mission has put Employment at the core of the Government's social and economic planning and policies.
The mission would be a single point within the Government to formulate and steer various employment generation initiatives of the Government of Punjab. The mission will bring necessary synergy, oversight and effective coordination in the implementation of various employment generation schemes across the Departments
Aim

To create the necessary framework to facilitate wage and self-employment for the unemployed people of Punjab

To improve employability through skill training/skill upgradation

To identify areas having potential for employment generation and to harness that potential with government intervention
Objectives of Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission

To create an exhaustive database of Unemployed Household in Punjab.

To develop and promote an ecosystem amongst all stakeholders, which conductive to employment generation
-
To enable the establishment of a flexible delivery mechanism that responds to the characteristics of a wide range of needs of all stakeholders

To promote PPP models to encourage private sector initiatives in the field of employment Generation and District Employment Plan

To facilitate the job seekers for placement in Govt./Private Jobs/Overseas Employment and skill training as per the aptitude and skills of the Jobseeker

To develop and oversee the functionalities of Ghar Ghar Rozgar portal which will facilitate the registration of all eligible job seekers and organise job fairs etc online either in-house or through a professional firm via Project Management Consultants

To facilitate Punjab youth in overseas study and to undertake such ancillary activities which may lead to the fulfilment of these objectives

To coordinate and monitor the 22 District Bureaus of Employment and Enterprises (DBEE) formed in the districts

To do social mobilization of Job seekers with a focus on Unemployed Household

To conduct and support Research and Development in the Employment Generation Sector to learn from innovative and emerging trends globally for improving the rate of employment

Establishing call centres and keeping consultants for pushing employment generation programs with vigour

To take such action, incidental, ancillary or conducive to the attainment of the objects stated above or any other similar object, as per requirement prescribed by Central Government or State Government or any other organization
Ghar Ghar Rozgar portal
Ghar Ghar Rozgar portal has been launched to provide a one-stop digital platform to job seekers and employers which allows matchmaking between the demand of the employer and qualification of a job seeker automatically and notifies the job availability to job seeker
Job seekers can shortlist the employer as per his qualification/skill/experience. An employer can shortlist the job seeker as per his requirement. Neither the job seeker nor the employer has to pay any charges as in the case of private job portals. The portal automatically shows the relevant job to the job seeker while matching his skills/education/experience.
Portal is specially designed to assist job seekers who are school drop out/have a low level of education/skills.
Such applicants can opt for short term skilling/skill upgradation programs for better employability prospects.
Job seekers would automatically get the notification for the jobs matching their profiles during the normal course and especially during placement drives.

Job Mela Registration

For registration in Job Melas, the Candidate needs to first register as a Job Seeker on the Ghar Ghar Rozgar portal.

OTP will be forwarded to the registered email id and mobile number of the candidate. In case of any delay in SMS OTP, candidates can use OTP received on email-id.

After successful registration, the candidate needs to update his/her profile (educational qualification, skills, experience etc.) before participating/applying for the Job Mela/Jobs.

The candidate will be able to select the venue, date and the company as per his qualification and generate hall tickets for participation

Complete details of venue-wise Job Melas will be visible on the portal for participation.

Each candidate can apply for a maximum of 3 employers in a day, along with the max limit of 10 days in a month.
