Government of  Andhra Pradesh intends to provide welfare schemes to every deserving person as soon as possible without any delay.

This guide covers all the major schemes in Andhra Pradesh.

Jagananna Amma Vodi Scheme

The primary objective of Jagananna Amma Vodi scheme is to provide financial assistance to each unique mother or recognized guardian in the absence of mother, who is below poverty line household, irrespective of caste, creed, religion and region to enable her to educate child/children from Class I to XII.

Jagananna Vidya Deevena RTF

The objective of the scheme is to extend financial assistance to students belonging to SC, ST, BC, EBC (other than Kapu), Kapu, Minority and Differently Abled categories who are pursuing the post metric courses from ITI to Ph.D except Intermediate by way of full fees reimbursement.

Jagananna Vasati Deevena MTF

The objective of the scheme is to provide Rs.10,000/- per person to ITI students, Rs.15,000/- per person to Polytechnic students, Rs.20,000/- per person for other Degree and above courses per year to every eligible student for food and hostel expenses.

YSR Ryuthu Bharosa

Landlords will be paid in 3 installments plus a profit of Rs. 13500 (Rs. 6000 PM Kisan) per annum.The objective of this scheme is to support the cultivators in meeting the investment needs during the crop season and to enable higher crop productivity and provide financial assistance to landless tenant farmers & Record of Forest Rights (ROFR) Cultivators belonging to SC, ST, BC, and minority categories.

The benefit of this scheme will be transferred in 3 installments every year i.e., in the months of May, October & January.

Dr.YSR Free Crop Insurance

The objective of this scheme is to provide financial support to the farmers in the event of Crop loss due to any natural calamity, to restore the credit eligibility for the next season and to stabilize farm incomes. 

The eligible farmers for YSR Free Crop Insurance are:

  • The citizen should be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh

  • All the notified crops in the notified areas as per Crop Insurance notification in the season are covered

  • All the cultivators growing notified crops in the notified area are covered

  • Aadhaar e-KYC is compulsory.

  • There is no premium subsidy.

Input Subsidy to Farmers

The objective of this scheme is to compensate the farmers whose crops were lost/damaged more than 33%, because of all natural calamities such as heavy rains, droughts, cyclones, floods etc. Crop loss is evaluated scientifically via e-cropping at the RBK level.

The eligible criteria for Input Subsidy to Farmer is:

  • The citizen should be a permanent resident of Andhra Pradesh

  • Crops covered under the scheme are- Paddy, Jowar, Bajra, Maize, Black gram, Green gram, Red gram, Soybean, Groundnut, Castor, Sugarcane, Cotton, Chilly, Turmeric, Korra, Ragi, Bengal gram, Rajmah, Sesamum, Cowpea, Dhaincha etc.

  • All the farmers irrespective of their category of marginal/small/big farmers including tenant farmers are covered under the scheme.

YSR AASARA

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to Rural and Urban poor women in Self Help Groups (SHGs) who availed bank loans for financial needs by reimbursement of entire bank outstanding loan amount as on 11.04.2019 in four installments from the financial year 2020-21 through respective Welfare Corporations.

Jagananna Chedodu

  • In order to provide economic upliftment to the BC Communities who are living below poverty line, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to sanction Financial Assistance to Washermen, Nayee Brahmins and Tailors. 

  • Accordingly, the Director, B.C.Welfare has furnished the proposal for sanction of financial assistance of Rs.10,000/- per annum to the families of Washermen, Nayee Brahmins and Tailors

  • Government, after careful examination of the matter hereby sanction the financial assistance of Rs.10,000/- per annum to the Washermen, Nayee Brahmins and Tailors who are living on the profession of Washing of Clothes , Barber shops and Tailoring respectively subject to following criteria: 

The financial assistance should be given to the beneficiaries having establishments, be it a Permanent Establishment or Mobile Establishment, which have been registered under Shops and Establishment Act / Street Vendors Act. If not registered, they have to be registered first before disbursal of financial assistance. The identification of beneficiaries would be done through Village Secretariats / Ward Secretariats and assistance would be provided directly to the beneficiary through Direct Benefit Transfer.

YSR EBC Nestham

The objective of the scheme is to financially empower Economically Backward Class women above 45 years and below 60 years by enhancing their livelihood opportunities and living standards, by offering financial assistance of Rs 45000 will be provided This financial assistance will be provided in 3 phases. Under the scheme, the government has disbursed Rs 15000 per Year.

YSR Kapu Nestham

The objective of the scheme is to financially empower Kapu, Balija, Telaga, Ontari women between the age of 45-60 years by enhancing their livelihood opportunities and living standards with financial assistance of a total amount of Rs.75,000/- over the period of 5 years i.e., Rs.15,000/- per annum.

YSR Matsyakaara Barosa

The aim of this scheme is to provide an amount of Rs.10,000/- as ban relief to all sea going fishermen families who are not able to earn their livelihood during the ban or lean period of marine fishing from April 15th to June 14th every year (61 days) (both days inclusive).

YSR Nethanna Nestham

The main objective of Y.S.R. Nethanna Nestham scheme is to provide Rs.24,000/- per annum to every weaver family who owns a Handloom to modernize their equipment and to compete with the power looms sector.

The government announced YSR Pension Kanuka as part of the welfare measure to ameliorate the hardships of the poor and vulnerable sections of the society particularly the old and infirm, widows, and persons with disability to secure a dignified life.

Vahana Mitra

The primary objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to auto, taxi and maxi driver/owners yearly for maintenance expenses and for obtaining insurance and fitness certificates among other documents.

YSR Aarogyasri

YSR Aarogyasri scheme is a unique PPP model in the field of Health Insurance, tailor made to the health needs of poor patients and provides end-to-end cashless services for identified diseases under secondary and tertiary care through a network of service providers from Government and private sector.

The objective of YSR Aarogyasri scheme are:

  • To provide free quality hospital care and equity of access to BPL families by purchase of quality medical services from identified networks of health care providers through a self-funded reimbursement mechanism (serviced by Trust).

  • To provide coverage to the beneficiaries up to Rs. 5 lakh per family per annum on floater basis.

  • To provide financial security against catastrophic health expenditures.

  • To strengthen the Government Hospitals through demand side financing.

  • To provide universal coverage of health for both urban and rural poor.

YSR Bima

YSR Bima is an insurance scheme implemented by the Government of India to provide financial assistance to the families of unorganized workers in the event of Natural Death, Accidental Death & Permanent Disability due to Accident.

GV/WV & VS/WS identifies the Nature of claim is three ways:

  • Natural Death (Claim amount Rs. 1.00 Lakh, Age group of 18-50 years)

  • Accidental Death (Claim amount Rs. 5.00 Lakh, Age group of 18-70 years)

  • Permanent Disability due to Accident (Claim amount Rs. 5.00 Lakh, Age group of 18-70 years)

YSR Cheyutha

The objective of the scheme is to extend financial assistance to the women belonging to BC, SC, ST and Minority Communities who are in the age group of 45 – 60 years (except the women beneficiaries already covered under YSR Pension Kanuka) with a sum of Rs. 75,000/- in four phases (in four years) through various Welfare Corporations. This will create access to enhanced livelihood opportunities, income generation and wealth creation at the household level, on a sustainable basis leading to better standards of living.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has initiated a new scheme known as Pedalandariki Illu Scheme. Under this scheme, free-of-cost houses will be provided to the people of Andhra Pradesh who belong to economically weaker sections of society.

Jagananna Thodu

Chiruvyaparulu engaged in vending on footpath, selling vegetables in pushcarts, selling tiffin and food items on the roadside and pavements, etc. require daily working capital in the range of Rs 2000/- to 5000/- and they end up taking loans at usurious interest rate ranging from Rs.3, 4 to Rs 10/-. Often people who are engaged in traditional handicrafts like lace work, kalamkari work, Etikoppaka toys, Kondapalli toys, leather puppets, potters, Bobbili Veena, Brass Craft articles, etc. are also forced to take loans at such exorbitant rates and suffer financially. 

This scheme is provided by the Government to provide loan assistance to street vendors at zero interest up to Rs. 10,000 / - per person.

YSR New Rice Card

This scheme is provided by the government to get several food items at subsidized rates.

The eligiblity criteria for YSR New Rice Card is:

  • Total family Income should be less than Rs.10,000/- per month inRural areas.

  • Total land holding of the family should be less than 3.00 Ac. of Wet (or) 10 Ac. of Dry land (or) 10 Acres of land put together for this purpose.

  • No family member should be a government employee or Government pensioner. The families of Sanitary workers are exempted.

  • Family should not own a four-wheeler (Taxis, Tractors, Autos are exempted).

  • The average electricity consumption of a family in the last 12 months should not exceed 300 units per month.

  • No family member should be an income tax payee.

  • In Municipal areas, a family who owns no property or Less than 1000 sq. feet of built-up area (Residential or commercial) is eligible.

Category 1: The family with 2 or more members can apply for New Rice Card, If the family satisfies family condition as compulsorily having wife, husband in the application. If anyone is not there, then they must upload the supporting document either death or divorce or notary.

Category 2: Single Member cards can be allowed for the following categories:

  • Widow (female) and never had any children: Woman single member, who lost her husband and never had any children can apply in this category.

  • Widower (male) and never had any children: Male single member, who lost his wife and never had any children can apply in this category.

  • Transgender: Transgender can apply in this category.

  • Unmarried and above 50 years of age (Male or Female): Single Male or Female member who has not married and living alone can apply in this category.

  • Destitute and no other family member is alive: No other family member available to form a family as a unit can apply in this category.
